Who Is Mrs. Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo?

Mrs. Perpetual Ofori-Ampofo works for the Ministry of Health as the Deputy Chief Health Tutor at the Nursing and Midwifery Training College in Korle-Bu. She attended St. Mary’s Secondary School, where she earned both her school diploma and her advanced level diploma. She graduated with a Master of Public Health from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing with Psychology. The University of Cape Coast also awarded her a Post Graduate Diploma in Education.

She is a Foundation Fellow and a Fellow of the West African College of Nurses and Midwives. She is also a member of the Ghana College of Nurses and Midwives. For the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s licensure process, she has previously worked as an examiner and chief examiner.

Since January 2012, she has represented nurses’ and midwives’ interests both locally and internationally as the General Secretary of Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association. She held the position of Korle-Bu district assistant secretary in the Greater Accra branch of the Association before taking on that position.

She was a founding member of the Health Sector Occupational Pensions Scheme (HSOPS), where she presently holds the position of Member Secretary of the Board and a license as Trustee.

She has three kids and is married.
